It’s Sunday the day after Halloween so I think it’s appropriate that my rant of the day is about Religion. I think the human race has outgrown it. I understood the need for it to keep populations in order etc. But even as a child I questioned if people truly believed in what their religion preached. I’ll explain, this is geared towards all Christians, Protestants and Catholics alike. If true believes really deep down believed in their religion, they would never sin, ever. If God were in front of us and judged us, (I am imagining the Great and Powerful Oz as I picture this) we wouldn’t dare go against any of the commandments. We would never had sex before marriage if we truly believe the gospels and we wouldn’t covet anything like our neighbor’s ox or even his big-screen TV. Christians make the justification of the bible is a guide and can’t be taken too literally and times have changed. I just think deep down followers know it’s all bunk because they’d be all scared to death to sin if they really deep down believed.
I don’t mean to offend the followers of Christianity but I just wanted to address this obvious something that I have never understood.
